Solo Grinder's Guide to GTA Online Bonus Weeks

Updated June 2026 · GTABonuses.com editorial

Most GTA Online money guides assume you have a full crew. This guide is for solo players — the most common play style — who want to maximise earnings during bonus weeks without relying on other people.

The solo player's priority order

1

Claim free items first

Takes 2 minutes, no grinding. Always do this before anything else so you don't forget before Thursday.

2

Complete the weekly challenge

Usually requires completing a small number of missions or races. The bonus reward is free money for activities you might do anyway.

3

Earn the prize ride (if you want it)

Check what the prize ride is. If it's a vehicle worth over $1M, spending an hour winning 5 races is far better value than buying it.

4

Cayo Perico (if 2× or higher)

Best solo payout in the game. If it's active this week, run it twice — once after finishing preps, then a second time with no setup cost.

5

Acid Lab sells (if 2× or higher)

Most consistent daily earner for solo players. Run sell missions whenever your stock is full.

6

Contact missions

Gerald, Lamar, Martin — all free to access with no property. At 3× these are the best activity for players with nothing else set up.

Best properties for solo bonus week grinding

You don't need everything. If you're investing to maximise solo earnings during bonus weeks, prioritise in this order:

Kosatka (Submarine)

From $2.2M

Required for Cayo Perico — the best solo heist. Pays for itself in 2–3 bonus week sessions.

Acid Lab (Freakshop)

From $750k + setup

Passive production + sell missions. Most efficient daily earner. Frequently on bonus.

Bunker

From $1.2M–2.4M

Good passive earner when staffed. Gets 2× sell bonuses regularly. Slower than Acid Lab but solid.

Nightclub

From $1M+

Accumulates stock from your other businesses passively. Powerful when combined with Acid Lab and Bunker.

Avoiding common solo mistakes

Don't grind races just because they have a multiplier — they pay badly even at 2× unless you're going for the prize ride.

Avoid adversary modes solo — the matchmaking is unreliable and payout depends on other players joining.

Don't skip the weekly challenge. It usually completes itself as you do other activities.

Check property requirements before setting up a grind session. Acid Lab bonuses are worthless if you don't own one.

Get your weekly grind plan

The weekly tracker has a built-in grind planner — select "Solo player" and your available time and it ranks this week's bonuses into a priority list just for you.
